Rapattoni IDX FTP Resources?

Does any one know of a resource for, or any information on, Rapattoni's FTP IDX solution? Rapattoni said they didn't have any documentation but I just thought I would ask to see if someone else had compiled anything.

I think Rapattoni handles many IDX solutions.Which area are you doing and IDX for? Sometimes it seems they have some great documentation. Sometimes nothing is available. :-(

I am a part of CCRMLS, Central Coast Regional. We are just using Rapattoni's own MLS and IDX solution. Is that what you were asking for?

What information are you looking for?

We used to use the ftp download from Rapattoni.
They provide you with a username and password, you login to their FTP site and download the listing data and images in a zip file.

Is there some hidden set of features I missed? As far as I know, that's all you get (what I mentioned above). My guess is that is why they don't have any docs on it.

Sometimes they use codes in some fields in the database...
For example they will have a field for Parking and in the field will be x,h,y,r,s
And they do not give out any way to lookup what x,h,y,r,s relates to. I gave their support line a call and they were able to supply me with a csv file to use to lookup these codes.

Thanks for your post. I am already aware of the FTP download and already have a script in place to download and upzip the files. What I meant to ask was for any specifics on how Rapattoni updates its files or just any other helpful specifics.
I wasn't aware about the Parking codes but I haven't looked at parking specifically yet so I might PM Aaron to see if I could possibly get that list.

One thing I have noticed is that it seems like Rapattoni only sends the images of new listings in the daily update zip files and expects you to already have the older ones. I am guessing the 'old ones' are in a PIC_#########.zip file which I haven't looked into that much. I believe they update the major PIC file every 1st of the month and the 21st of the month. At least thats what has gone on for the April and May.

If anyone else has any other specific information they have figured out, post it here and I will make some kind of general resource for Rapattoni.

ahhhh.

Ours isn't done that way. Rapattoni does an export every morning at 1:14am that includes all of the photos and listing data (not just the ones that have changed or been added).
Also, our photos are names like ListingNumber_1.jpg . So maybe that's why there's no docs--because every region is different.
However, I have found that the techs at rapattoni are very helpful (both with FTP and RETS) with questions about stuff like this; so I just call or email when I have a question. No complaints here
