    Default CIMLS Importing

I run a online multiple listing service at CIMLS.com

I was wondering if there are any typical ways that you could import lots of listings from a realtors system and get them into our database. I have a feeling loopnet and our other competitors have a way of doing this and so we are only getting the people that are willing to input in each listing.

Sure there is, anyone that has a database of thier listings could create you a csv file or xml that you could then right an importing script for.

Yeah I have been looking into options like that. I was just wondering if there are any standard listings outputs that way I could get the major ones ready. Looks like it will be on a per client basis.

    CIMLS,
I just found your site last week, my compliments, as this is the kind of thing that Commercial RE has needed for a long time. So you know, Loopnet doesn't offer this kind of service, all though they should. We store our property data in a MySQL database, and it's pretty easy to export to CSV, tab-delimited, etc. I'd be more than happy to help out however I can. Maybe a file upload area would work, but the trick would be getting all the columns to match up. If you want me to work up an example csv file or what not, either PM me or post here. Best of luck with this endeavor, and look to see our listing there in the next week or two.
