Default New features on the ActiveRain Real Estate Network

It's been a little over two weeks since we launched a new site at activerain.com and we just put up several new features. For those of you who don't know, the ActiveRain Real Estate Network is a free resource where real estate professionals (agents, loan officers, etc) can create a profile which we host and promote, basically free advertising.

We added the ability for members to add an "associates" list to their profile, similar to a myspace friends list. It's customizable and can be renamed whatever you want so for example a real estate office could create a profile, and add all the agents in that office to the list. Or a loan officer could use it to highlight their recommended real estate agents.

We also added the ability for users to invite other real estate professionals into the network, which they receive points for.

Points = More exposure on the network.

Also added several new profile types (Inspector, Appraiser, Title Company, Escrow Company, Builder and Coach) We will launching some really cool blogging featuers within the next couple weeks.

I'd appreciate any feedback people in this group on this site.

    Thanks

Just looked at the site and signed us up.

Under associates you have "Currently you have not added any "aassociates""

Also you state "You can rename this section and use it for a variety of purposes." I renamed it but it still only allowed for content through add an associate. So it isn't for a variety of purposes, it might be that you can have just your company agents, or mortgage brokers, as a name, but you can still only use the section for adding associates of one nature or another, at least that is the way it seems.

Great site. I hope it really takes off.

This feature would explain the email I just got from an agent I don't know inviting me to join the network. I view unsolicited email like this as SPAM.

Matt, are the links that realtors post on active rain no follow links? Do they post PR?

I like the site. The one thing I would like to see right off the bat is a way to format your content in a simpler way. You have a lot of content on every page, and it is fairly intimidating. I usually like it when content is narrowed down, and different things are not pulling at my attention at the same time.
