your blog looks nice, looks like you keep up with it quite a bit.

Morgan, SEO is the main reason I care about blogging. My desire to show/share my expertise in RE would be second--but is a big one for me as well, but no doubt SEO is the priority!
I am rather limited in my knowledge of blog marketing, I do think it's better to structure the blog permalinks so that the title of the post is to be found in the URL--that way key words can be used in the title effectively. Example is here: http://www.justnewlistings.com/arlin...-search-ideas/
In Wordpress it is called a "date and name based" permalink structure and is found under options.
I read an article once on setting up the URL of the blog posts to exclude or place at the end of the URL this portion: 2006/08/13/ That way the keywords are accessed more readily. And one would want the keywords closer in on the URL if I recall--it would require a custom permalink which is over my head. There were several blog marketing SEO articles I read and if I find them I'll shoot them your way so you can take them into account in setting this up. My problem is I'm saavy at marketing and learning more and more about SEO, but I'm almost useless from a tech perspective. But I do hope SEO considerations will be taken into account...it's more important that how pretty the blog is in terms of $$$$. My last 5 clients are internet leads due to content and rankings and follow up. If I don't have content and rankings 1st, then there is no chance to sell (long term follow-up)!

Jay, I don't even use the date in my posts on two of my blogs as it was very simple to create a custom permalink in Wordpress just using the title. I don't really think dates are necessary in the urls.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.
I leave the date in my URL for archiving and month/day/year searches.
