One tip that comes to mind for increasing traffic to your website would be with all the directories out there pertaining to the real estate industry. Most realtors dont seem to want to go out and put their URL onto a lot of those sites. These directories will increase your web traffic on avg 20 to 40 visits a day and over a year thats over 14,000 more visitors. With 14k + more visits how many deals do you think you might be able to get in that year.

Lets say you only got 2 extra deals a year at an avg of $ 7000 a deal...thats $ 14000 a year in extra income and over 5 years....thats 70k. With buyers and seller using the web more often...NAR says 80% of home buyers and sellers start their search on the web for a Realtor.

So the more exposure you have on the internet the more exposure your business will have.

I would only submit to directories which have at least some categories ranked for terms related to the categories and not go by PR.

I pay sometimes, like when a directory's category ranks for some terms that could provide me traffic. There are a few general directories out there (not many) which wind up ranking for terms used in the title and description of sites submitted. Authority directories I call them. Just like blogging on a blog network like REW and AR gives people instant traffic, even when their sites don't wind up ranking themselves.

I don't go by PR, a directory having PR doesn't mean that they pass on what is called link juice, many factors are playing a roll, and if all you look at is PR or the catastrophic pagestrength, you're bound to waste a lot of money IMO.
