A 302 redirect is commonly known as a "temporarily moved" redirect and is supposed to be used for your own pages if you have had to move them for some reason or another, and are planning on having them back one day. IF you permanently move a page then the appropriate redirect is a 301.

Now this is done in appache typically via the .htaccess file and only god knows in windows (Header 302 or some crap SEO Guy = hates windows even his own windows server)

Anyways the point I think that resalebroker is trying to make is that using this technique to foward a redirected tracking URL is deceptive to your link partners and gives you highly diminished credit if any credit at all.

realestateaward(Insert .com here)/index.php?t=sub_pages&cat=2849 is a good example of a tracking redirect that will likely not give you credit for a link so not worth submitting to. A good way to check is to mouse over the link and in the bottom part of your screen you should see the non redirected destination - what you "should" see when mousing over a link to you is http://www.yourdomain.com whatever your site may be, in this instance you see spammerdomain(Dot)com/action.php?url=http://www.Temeculalandandinvestments.com&action=go&id=13 1248
Yet if you were to actually click on it, you would be redirected to the link partner page, this does not discrupt the user experience much but does nothing for your search engine ranks. This practice is typically frowned upon.

I happened to have mirror site, which I do not want to take down, and cannot implement 301 on Apache at this point due to some architectural design.

At the same time I do not want mirror site to harm my "main" site. I am working to change design, but it will take me some time to implement 301 properly at this point because it serving multiple domains/IP and share same source code with load balance and cashing.

As temporary solution I requested my DNS service provider to "forward mirror URL" to the main site, trying to do some damage control.

I am speculating how they do it on DNS level, but it may be 302.

Do you know if URL forwarding will help? If it does not, can you explain why?

Another question I have is SE is not silly and will ban your site if you attempt to run multiple domains with same content on same IP.

But I did not find any information except positive that it will harm if content is same on different domains and different IP's?

I have seen multiple sites "twins" 100 identical with high ranking, and I did not see they get banned.

Do you have any ideas or resources where to read about this issue?

Vaddy I have been in the SEO business for a very long time and have personally seen this happen over and over, you do not need a resource to read, the fact is as I said you will see sites can do very well until they are reported for duplicate as SE's cant autopenalize but if they manually review it you will get banned.
