seems to do really well in msn's beta search![]()
My sites do very well for just about all targeted keywords, with most rankings being top 5 and a few #1's.
The MSN beta also returns many more results for my main keywords. 173k as opposed to 60k for Google.
Another thing I noticed is that the huge sites (Yahoo, Homegain, Weichert & Realtor.com) that dominate the top 10 in Google for my main keyword don't rank well at all in the MSN beta SE. I hope that remains the case when it's finally released.
I am targeting "Real Estate Web Design" and got exactly that term, I didn't get the terms I have in Google like "online advertising", "internet marketing" etc. but that's ok since I am mostly working with real estate agents and it is easier to have brand new sites built the right way, they pretty much rank themselves.

I love MSN! =_) It's an SEO dream - use the keyword in your title, page content and backlinks, and you have a winner....we'll see if it stays this way. MSN seems to favor smaller sites while Google favors the directories and has many more filtering devices that don't really seem to work IMO.
The recent update from Google did me well on a few sites, so we'll see....

I agree it's easy.. it's even too easy... I'd guess they will change it sooner or later.Originally Posted by apascu

Not everyone can do well on MSN though, someone has to lose out.
Are you saying that because it is easy, there will be a ton of spam to follow? Surely there is a lot of spam out there already, and it doesn't neccessarily show in the results, just a decent standard of seo is needed.
We will see what happens in the future, but I'm sure MSN has thought about this, they aren't that stupid.
