RRReview oferred $25 for drive by BPO and additional $10 for inside photos.
I guess one must be very hungry accepting this kind of deal.
Clear Capital pays well but I hate the way they distribute BPOs.

$125 is unusually high, you probably don't have much of competiton in the area.
Average $50 -$65 is what reputable asset management companies pay for drive by BPO.

Clear Capital does do alot more calling back than other companies. I currently do BPO's for 14 companies. Clear Capital will send them back or call you out on something that another company wont. They will say we have another BPO form 6 months ago that has x Sqft and yours states xx Sqft. I have usually been correct with my figures and have had a way to prove it to them. If you are guessing at sfqt with Clear Capital maybe just send them a email or call them to see if there are figures they already have and are going to want used. They are also quick to say that the comps that are used do not justify the subject. I live in a rural area and usually have few comps that really work well and have to use alot of adjustments in my reports.

Another thing is that there are alot of companies that do not have a lot of area that you can type comments such as why the sqft on the comps is so different or what ever feature(s) you had to adjust.

CederCityRealtor why do you say stay away from Asset Val? I find them to be a pretty good company to work with. They pay in a timely manner and their forms are not to bad to work with. Either way it will vary depending on what area your in and how many agents are doing bpo's. The standard has pay for most compan ies has seemed to be 55-75. Some companies will offer you 75-85 if it is a 1-3 day rush. These companies I like because even though you are getting paid a little more then a stanard bpo. They will allow you to request for additional time if needed and still pay you the fee's. Sometimes the companies that broad cast order wil call you directly to complete a bpo for them. When this happens you can usually negociate a higher fee. But becareful , because sometimes these are dogs of a bpo that other agents turned down. Or sometimes it's the case that the agent just was to busy to accept.

    jmacejka,

Do a search for REO BPO companies on a search engine like google. You will find some that way. I purchased a list online. I would be interested in selling some of these company names that I have found and do work for. contact me via email. I currently have 20 companies give or take that I got from this list that were legit.

most companies pay between $40 - $70 for an average BPO. Most will take 1 - 2 hours to do depending on driving distance.

its not that same as an appraisal

it is very similair to doing a detailed CMA
