Definitions of Agent

  • An agent is a person who is authorized to act on behalf of another party and represent their interest. In real estate, an agent represents their broker in real estate sales. The broker represents either the buyer or seller in the transaction, and the agent carries out the duties of the broker as the broker's agent. This definition of Agent contributed by jimolenbush.
