Definitions of Interest Only Loan
- This is a mortgage in which the buyer only pays interest and no principal is ever paid.
- Interest only loans are used most commonly by people who are familiar with the "missed fortune" principle. An investor wants the lowest monthly payment so that he has a high expendable income available to invest and the greatest tax advantage because the interest on ones' home is deductible.
