Anyone else try to make extensive use of this javascript object for flash heavy sites to display alternate content for spiders and bots?
I've found it works well in firefox and ie but can sometimes require the dreaded click to activate in the latest iterations of opera when rendering. |

We use it quite a bit to serve straight html links in place of flash buttons, so that spiders can follow the links to content pages, some people (Uneducated people) think it's a form of cloaking, but because you are simply replacing one thing with the exact same thing, it certainly isn't - cloaking is showing one thing to SE's and another to bots. It's pretty effective, although we don't have to use it to much because we don't make "flash heavy" sites per se, just sites that utilize "some" flash.

yeah I thought from looking at the code and implementation it's just renders the flash in place of the optional content specified in the div tag
seems like it's perfect for offering an alternate image, text link, or text content for crippled mobile devices and older browsers as well as getting around the ie flash fix click to activate fiasco |

We use it at our site, and I love it! i have a few really great tutorials on it if you want them! It great because it takes our user friendly and great looking flash menu and makes it search compatible and WC3/508 compliant!!
