Just for fun as it won't last long, but google authority directory. A guy has registered the domain and is very unhappy that half way down the page there's a thread at dp saying Authority Directory banned by google. The thread has been retitled (as it wasn't actually referring to his directory) but it shows the problems of naming your site after a common phrase!

oooo oooo don't forget about REW's directory - one of my top referring phrases containing "MLS" from the last few days is http://www.google.ca/search?q=bonita...ient=firefox-a

Both the customer site and the directory listing are top 5 in Google, and I know from our stats that visitors clicked through to the customer site

I also like the directory route and usually try to hit alot of the free ones and I pay to submit to a few others also.

Some directories are getting hit by G lately - it looks like a hand job to a lot of people tho - some directories aren't even ranking for their own names.

There will always be directories in G that rank well - even Matt has indicated that there are some good directories to be a member of. Ones that are selective in admitting sites.
