What do I type in the search engines to locate my link on another Realtor's Website? I know that you can type link:myurl to find all of them, but what if I want to target a site to see if my link is still there without searching their whole site.
Thanks

Yahoo is the best to use when finding all of your backlinks.

Either way should give you the same results.

example if you are using "chicago real estate" as anchor text in this website then you go to google and type: site:www.website-linking-toyou.com + "chicago real estate" if you are not using any anchor text then you type: site:www.website-linking-toyou.com + "www.yourwebsite.com" this is how you do it.. but am not sure if this is practical why don you just go to the website and see if your link is there, also if you need to track a lot of backlinks then you may considere buying a tool like Seo-elite, IPB.. which will help you track and verify that your links are still active.cheers. |

There are simple programs out there that can crawl websites looking for a specific link out there.
http://tools.seobook.com/general/link-check/ Not sure if that is 100% accurate, but it's seobook so can't be ALL that bad ![]()
