Default Do Not Call List

My name is Robert, new here.
I wanted to cold call a few people, not more than 2-4,000 a month I am guessing at the very most.
What are the good companies you can use that will scrub your list ? Does anyone use these companies or basically what is the best way to set it up yourself?
It would seem to be easier using a professional than scrubbing the lists myself but am not sure. It seems the Federal list is free for 5 area codes which is all I need and state list in Texas is $75 every 3 months if I do it myself.
Just don't know best way to get started and don't want to get any fines. Thanks for any help.

I am in the same boat as you. Thank god NAR has a place on the net where you can type the number in and boom it will give the nay or yay. But listen this can be good because I really don't want to talk to people who don't want to get calls, I want the people that are not on the do not call list. Many lonely people don't mind talking to nice real estate agents on the phone. Many agents avoid cold calling it seems, so many people just don't want to do it because .. well they just don't want to do it. No pain no gain is the name of this game. really true. Those people should just overcome their fears. I find it interesting how people say things like "god bless you, I hope you can handle rejection" And its almost as if they think cold calling is as bad as having cancer. Its not as bad as working as a garbage man in the 5 degree winter not that I have done that but you get the idea.

I think this makes it so much easier for us. I love that people don't like to cold call as they call it. I don't have to worry about being the 10th person who called them. And let me tell you the real estate agent that came to my door was the one that got the listing because of the face to face. All the people who sent me postcards well, lets just say they lost.

I think sending postcards is great with cold calling and getting out and meeting new people.

Real estate is a numbers game and I really believe that.

What is the link to NAR where I can type in numbers and see if they are on the Do Not Call List. Also does anyone know the fine for an accidental violation of Do Not Call. Im just worried I call someone based on NAR and its updated. I dont totally trust NAR to be on top of stuff.

Thats why you really want to get your data from broker so the DNC srubbing is on them. I offer this service. That would keep you complient. To give you an example i cant even get access to a number unless its scrubbed for DNC. Every 30 days you rescrub your data and your good to go.

I am a new agent and I saw something about the DNC from NAR but at the time my NAR registration was not sent to me. I think it was just about the DNC list from the gov site. That is what I did. I downloaded a free scrubber program from DL dot com. I went on the Gov DNC site and downloaded the two area codes in my area. up to 5 free and all i need was 2 area codes.

I download the list and use the free scrubber program and all i do its A: manually type the number or you can scrub the entire address book and it will put a DNC before all the DNC numbers.

let me know if you need any help with what free program to download.
