i think it may work as well. wish i would have known before i went out to buy a new video recorder. it does have better quality though.

Sorry for the late reply, Don't even know if you will look at this post again but I've got the pro version. I purchased a Sony HD hard drive camera last year and Vegas Pro was the only program I found that would support video editing for this format. Even the top version of Adobe Premier had no support last fall and I'm not sure if they do yet.

I picked up some pretty expensive equipment last year and unfortunately have not even really used any of it yet for anything other than filming a vacation a few months ago. I'm waiting for the grass to turn green and the flowers to come out. Right now outside video and home pictures look rather blah!
