Honestly, I think that 1% is low. I have personally averaged 4-6% on internet company leads minus 25% bad numbers without a drip email system. Last year was 4.8%. and I'm pretty disappointed with that conversion ratio. In years past it was closer to 6%. I think an acceptable level is mybe 2-3% but 8-10% would be really rocking! You should be able to close 1 out of 100 by accident.

The thread question is how many people (on average out of 100) who "hit" (visit?) the registration page should send it.

The standard sales rule yardstick used to be 1 "real" lead for every 100 "cold calls".

Ryan - since the beginning of December when I started forcing registrations after 3 detailed listing views I have been getting 3.6% of all unique sessions turning into registrations. What I would like to know is how many other agents are looking at my site to get ideas (lots of people in my office to that) and how many sessions are me loggin in. Since I will never know, I will be happy with the 3.6%.
