uh... Ok, thanks but you lost me. what canned spam, I know I need to get really up to speed on this. Is it something I can do myself. And when you say it's a start? this is the standard point2 site, should I upgrade to the professional right away? will it really help as I'm a new agent?

You're working on it and getting there, but as you read the comments posted here you'll get a better picture of what you'll need to do.

1. Use the template content as a 'guide' at first if you need it, but rewrite everything putting into your own words.
2. For a SEO reasons and ease of use don't put a link to every page from your homepage.
3. As your site grows and a site map.
4. Don't put outbound links on your homepage unless you are required to.
5. Find Your keywords, Use them upfront early and often just write content so it makes sense. Tweak it often.
6. Cut way back on all those bullet links on top.
7. Use more or start using text links to your interior pages.

The are weeks worth reading and good information here, but you can learn and get a better feel of what you need to do if you visit the sites of those here that you see others praising there sites. Here that generally means they have a REW site, but you can still see better linking structure, content and more. Notice how each one is set up different.

Good Luck ~ Don't give up. Has your site been picked up by Google yet? If not I'll give you a link on one of my junk sites until you are, I only ask that you continue to work on your site and follow the suggestion you find here so you can eventually add a REW site to your arsenal.

If you have a couple extra bucks laying around, REW has a great deal going on now you should consider. If for any reason you leave real estate you should be able to get your money back from you REW site 'if' you follow their guidance and the suggestions you find here, not to mention the money you'll make with it. Really a good deal, I'm thinking about getting another site and my first REW site is far from being done.
