Default Broker Commission

Hey everyone,

Has anyone ever received a referral from a broker outside of the U.S.? Is it the same law in that you have to pay broker-to-broker as it is in the U.S.?

If no one has the answer, we'll just call the legal hotline. Thanks!

//edit// - PS! If any Mod is reading this, we need a "Law" section of the forums!

I am not aware of any laws in the US that deal with referrals. If a broker does not pay the referral fee you sue them in civil court, you don't go to the police.

it depends on the country. If the country has real estate licence law, you pay the broker. If no real estate licences, you can pay anyone the fee.
