So can anyone explain how a website ends up at #10 without any links pointing to it? I'm just trying to understand what's working and what's not.

I understand "bellingham homes for sale" is not as competitive as "bellingham real estate", but without any links and content, how do you end up on the first page?

Kevin Huntley is my protege. I have been helping him with his site, and have been pointing him in the right direction.

Its pulling up #5 on my dc, but it will probably bounce back.

many people on this forum can learn a thing or two from you. You have achieved amazing success with your website, so maybe you can explain it.

Why is Google ranking this site on the first page? I was always under the impression that you need to have content and links pointing to your site, in order for Google to bump you up in SERPs. Kevin's site doesn't have either, so how come it's on the first page?

I see Kevin at #5 too.

Russell, also consider that Google doesn't show all of the incoming links. Yahoo shows that Kevin's site has 484 inlinks.

Oh, I didn't see that. I use marketleap to check incoming links and it was showing 0 links pointing to the site. Thanks Ryan. Now it's making more sense.
