We are searching for a PHP expert to integrate, modify and merge a built, but never implimented RETS/IDX platform. We are one of the top five most serach real estate website in the Washington DC metro area. At this time, we are stricly a new homes platform with an in-house proprietary database. The site is dated, and in need of several improvements. We are interested in developing a unique new home/RETS platform that allows the consumer to cross search our proprietory new home database which is very accurate on one platform with the ability to easily cross refernece live Rets feeds.

Historically, we have had trobuble with coders not recognizing the importance of timely esponse to e-mails, mods, tempermental personalities, sloppy coding ect.

We are searching for a PHP coder who understands RETS/IDX, who is responsible, timely and has a pleaseant working demeanor. Any coders with God Syndrome, need not apply.

Thanks Ronnie, but we cannot take on the project - we only offer and work on the REW IDX platform, we do not do "programming for hire" type work for other peoples IDX solutions.

Also, this user is in MRIS - which requires a $20,000 data licensing fee for vendors like ourselves to work with them, so it is cost prohibitive to work with MRIS (Unless of course you are wanting to switch to an REW custom site, REW IDX, and pay the data licensing fee

Hey, what I'm reading here is raising some questions. As a very good, but "general purpose" design/seo firm that is taking on a real estate selling client who wants all the bells and whistles... can we not simply build and program a site to do all the things he wants? What licenses would we need, and why should I bother as a web designer to get them? Our business isn't real estate, so wouldn't that be up to the client? Please advise.
