I Purchased the $99 package a few months ago and not one of the sites has shown a back link to my website yet. So far I think it is a real waste of money. The Pr of all of the sites included in the package is less than 2. I wish I had done a little more researh before I paid them the $99. I could have purchased better links by going to some other places and spent less than the $99.

I listed my site in only their best directories that appeared high enough in relevant keyword searches. The package deals looked to be a waste of money. A few of these directories can help establish a brand new site, but I do not plan on renewing any links to directories less than PR2.

It is more important to build a total online presence than to give money to those guys. Plus, if you are reading this, you are already ahead of the curve.

I signed up with Reals years ago, but I've never paid them any money. The only thing I ever did was trade links with them. I know I'm still listed there, but since that city page has no PR...I doubt that it's helping me anymore. I haven't really concentrated on those type of links much anymore. When G says they don't like paid directories, I always stay ahead of the curve and avoid any issues. Years ago I use to pay for link exchanges...but I'm talking like 5+ years ago. I can't remember the last time I paid for a link.

I agree waste of time, directories are a thing of the past. Google is up on all those paid links and people are slowly being penalized. You are going to be upset when your turn comes.

It seems hard to justify paying for something like Reals dot com given how many free directories are out there.

I never saw anything from REALS.com either but I was reading an agent blog the other day that said it was one of 7 sites he was listed with and getting 1st page google results...

If it was only one of only 7 links, then it must have been a very uncompetitive keyword

I don't think there is a site in the top 10 with less than a couple hundred links in my neck of the woods.

Of course I'm sure there is a small value to Reals and any other real estate directory. I just don't like paying for a directory link as a matter of principle.

I broke down and decided to drop the $20 as a test on a site a couple weeks ago. Last week - got the first visitor from Reals.

When I start seeing Reals as the source of registered prospects then I will consider it for the rest of the sites.

the links from the SE's and/or bury the link so deep it has little to no vlaue. With that said Reals itself is most likely worth it for the $20 as their pages do pass PR,
