We seem to have a different flavor of the Pru internet leads process here. I don't use it myself, but the way it was presented is this: Internet signups from the Pru corporate and local franchise sites do go to an in-house eTeam, which is not agents, but a team of admin types who establish initial contact and nurture the leads until they are serious and ready to work with an agent. At that point, they are assigned to a local office eLeads participating agent, who will continue to work the lead through listing or purchase, and gives up a total of about 50% of the resulting commissions to the franchise, managing brokers, who pay the eTeam admin staff salaries. The steep commission split is why I don't participate. When I joined the office just last month, I was never asked to give up my own website leads to the eTeam, and I did discuss with my new managing broker, in general terms how I generated and handled my own leads.
