who links to me
Does anyone use code on their site such as link tracking ? I am wondering if there is more value to this idea, but wondered if it were more a vanity or nosy inclination. Any thoughts?

I have not used that software but Yahoo's link tracking is really good. Just type in: link:www.yourwebsite.com
I've found it much more reliable than Google's.

If you have dynamic pages, another thing you can do is log all the referring addresses, for example in PHP:

So what does this all mean. The more back links the better ranking? I'm somewhere around 690. Is that good?
