What is the best (most user friendly for a beginner) software for writing in CSS or PHP and why. Thanks

Dreamweaver cs 3. I would say because I am able to use it and I am not a programer. You may want to download some videos at lynda.com thats what I did.

The macromedia suite is definitely a great beginner tool - also it is quite expandable and will grow with your skillset.

Zend is a better environment for php but is not going to provide the "Design" view that DW does and is not as developer friendly.

I use Dreamweaver as well. Great tutorials that will get you up and running quick.

Dreamweaver should be better to start, since its gives you a graphic interface to work with. A
s you grow wiser, you start to prefer to use the code view, and eventually you can do it in any code editor, notePad or similar.
