I think whatever your budget at least half to websites, 25% to print and 25% to direct mail. IMO this would probably vary some depending on your market. I am fairly sure Europe would be at least a little different from Chattanooga, TN.

IMO I would concentrate on optimizing the site for google, if you can achieve a ranking there, you won't have to do anything else

The best advertising I have done is adwords on google. By far the bast for potential buyers due to volume and quality. Costs an arm and a leg though. After that, I've done PR, which was low cost and got some high-end clients. I'm about to direct mail half the city (the good half),so I'll update you after that.

If someone could point us to a GREAT tutorial for how to use adwords . . . I tried to use it for my "site" and I am not sure at all if what I did was even minimally effective . . . how much $ should be put into adwords and for how much time? What "buzzwords" work effectively? I tried to use the google-adwords tutorials but still very uncertain as to the effectiveness of it . . .
