This is an interesting topic. Here's what I see from the real estate companies that use our system.

In the begining agents have a hard time with the 15 minute response requirement. Once they lose a couple of leads to another agent they make sure they are replying to the system within the 15 minutes to get their lead. The learning curve is about 5 days.

Side note: 15 minutes is a good time frame however we see some of the cell services text messaging systems are very slow during certain times of the day. Agents with these slower services complain they lose leads.

Bottom line, more prospects are converted to cleints when the agents have to respond to receive the lead within 15 minutes and they pick up the phone and make contact with the prospect as soon as they receive the lead.

In terms of the 15 minute response times and reassignment of the leads >15 minutes, do you guys have an AUTOMATED system in place to do this for you or does it require human/manual intervention?

Automated system. The only time a human may want to get involved is if no agent in the assignment group picks up the lead. Then the manager can manaully assign the lead. Plus the manager knows no one picked up the lead, good to know whos available.

We have it setup manually with an automatic mode if needed (we run automatic on Sunday). We find that human interaction with the system gives us a better idea of who is being productive and who is not.

Hi Loudog, there's a lot of diferent ways to skin the cat. Our customers have come to us with all kinds of systems both manual and semi automatic in place. Each has it's benefits and it's draw backs.

Our clients have told us by implementing an automated system and when the agent respond within 15 minutes they have increased their conversion rate by 40% to over 100%. The key is making the personal contact.

A study performed by MIT concluded after the first 10 minutes the likelyhood of making a connection with the prospect decreses by 5 times and trying to make a contact in 30 minutes decreases by 100 times.

Speed is the name of the game when it comes to converting Internet leads.
