I was thinking of putting together a monthly email newsletter about my local market to share with my SOI. Can anyone share other items you include that's popular with your audience.

I have been thinking abut the same thing but would love to find a good provider for this. Anyone have any experience with any e-newsletter providers? I noticed a couple of people up here using constant contact. Not sure if that is what I am looking for though.

I use iContact (www.icontact.com). Email me if you would like me to email you a sample. It is relatively simple to set-up and free for up to 500 recipients.

Another way to go is Realty Times. We use the front page from the Realty Times Newsletter and then we use their branded blank page to put local market info and news about our business and personal stuff on the back. We mail this once a month to our SOI.
So it has one page of national Real Estate news like mortgage rates, etc. and one page of local market trends and personal info about us which we think helps connect clients to us on a personal level. I think the cost is $35 per month for a professionally written newsletter which actually has several pages if you want to send them. We just choose to send a short version hoping that people might be more likely to read it. Thoughts??

I make my own and write the article's and try hard to go with what's hot at the time like foreclosure's or? I make them in a publisher form and it's real easy. The template is always the same and we just change the homes for sale and the article's. I always do the main of first article about a hot real estate topic, then we have a loan section with current mortgage information and then a lighter side like home cleaning tips, in colors, staging etc. And along the sides and the bottom homes for sale and at the bottom portion all my contact information and info about my office / team. This gets sent to about 700 past clients and SOI. Cost is zero, just about 30 minutes of my time and maybe an hour of my assistant each time as the template is the same.
I works well and I usually get some sort of call or e-mail with a lead or question every time I send it. I do this monthly. If anyone wants I could e-mail a sample of a recent e-letter........Derrick Monroe

Mark,
Sorry for the delay I was out of town...I sent you an e-mail with our current newsletter and some direct mailings we do to capture business. The web site is new for us as we have always done direct mailers and e-mails so if you need anything else along those lines we have some items / ideas that have done well for us in the past, thanks!

Derrick,
Could you please possibly send me the samples as well. I just hired my first assistant and a monthly e-newsletter is at the top of our list. Do you send it to everyone who registers on your site? Please send to: gloria@bocaexpert.com Thanks Derrick! |
