Main page:

[city] Area Schools

-paragraph: overview of the schools section
-paragraph: overview/promotion of the [city] schools situation

-bullets: links to subpages (internal pages describing different ISD's)
-bullets: links to other local resources not covered in our section

-paragraph: more promotional content about local schools, with a supporting external link and a quote

Then the subpages are populated with some light description of each ISD within the realtor's service area. I just went to those ISD's websites and researched what kinds of focuses they have, what kinds of challenges they face, accolades they've won, etc. And then as I said, there are snippets with listings of homes in those service areas.

I am not at all supprised by the numbers that SEOgerry gave. People search school info all the time.

I think it's a good idea to provide local school information, statistics, and homes for sale near a particular school. My IDX provider created a way for end users to actually do just what I mentioned above. All they have to do is pick a county, then a particular school and the IDX will instantly show all homes for sale in that area....
