Ummm only one points to my home page. One points to Santa Clara and the last one points to Cupertino.

I usually run a link building campaign for each page on my sites. I always start with the homepage spending a month or two building backlinks, then move on to the next page doing the same thing and so on.

Here are some things I use:

Each article that is written on your site, rewrite it and submit to article directories with deeplinks to your site.

Use social bookmarking to build high pr links to each page on your site.

Comment on blogs using links back to each page on your site.

Build links to each page from user generated content sites like squidoo etc.

Use deep links to your site in your forum sigs as well as homepage.

interlink pages on your site to one another utilizing keywords as the anchor text.

submit press releases with deeplinks to the pages on your site.

There are a bunch of ways, I actually keep a list of all the main places I promote each campaign/page. That way when its time to promote the next page I just pull up the list and start going.

I do the same thing - if you make it a system, it's much easier to follow. Mind posting your to-do list jdonnovan? I want to see if I'm missing anything. Here's mine (this is particularly for my subdivision pages):

Create Page, link from Subdivision Page
Write Blog Post about Subdivision
Write ActiveRain blog post about subdivision – post to Localism
Digg Page
Stumble Page
Favorite Page on Technorati
Create Squidoo Lense about page
Submit to Delicious
Submit to 5 directories
Write article – submit to top 10 article sites

Jeez, and I thought I was doing well with link building to the homepage. I am going to have to start taking my deep linking campaign more seriously!

Log in, go to the front page of the web site and click on the tab that says "Favorites" under the ad banner at the top and next to your login name. The page it takes you to has a place on the left side nave bar where you can add a URL and some tags.

I tell you, sometimes I don't - I am a full-time agent and this SEO and web design stuff is more like a hobby. But I do try to stick to my routine. A page that I worked on that winds up in the supplementals is time completely wasted. If I can do a little more work and ensure that it stays indexed and (more importantly) don't have to mess with it later, that's time well spent for me. Plus it almost forces me to slow down and not churn out just a bunch of poorly-optimized trash.

Eric and Mark I second your thoughts. I did a big directory site submission and I definitely am moving up for most of my key terms. The thing that just came to me recently that you point out is to do internal linking to your secondary pages. You may want to title a kw specific page "city mls search" and have that linked in your signature.

When I do other submissions in the future they will be for internal pages and have other than the main page as their focus. Look and see what your long tail tells you to add. I find in there often kw's that are not worthy of a new page, but make me modify that or other pages. E.g., luxury homes. That made me think of the neighborhoods that would qualify. Either I can add a few sentences to the pages or add something in the footer.

You can put links in your footer to other sites if you have them too. Are you using FF Seoquake to check up on things?

I tried that and then I get this message:

"We're sorry...we don't have a blog by that name. If this is your blog, ping us so we can put it in our index!"

So now what?
