I would say test the waters in each medium and make sure you diversify. If I can help in any way simply shoot me a message.

When we work with clients we put together a marketing plan so I would make sure you do that first.

Sincerely,

Aaron

Like most advertising it is important to create as many touch points with the same message as possible. I have heard that industry average return from mass mailings is between 1 and 2%.

I think they both need each other. Many publishers now offer free internet services with your published ad. Bottom line it all depends on who you want to target and where. If you want to target the locals print media could be used to drive traffic to your website. Also, if you are targeting transient buyers print media works well.

I feel niche real estate magazines generate more quality calls from buyers higher on the buying cycle. The net generates more volume and is better with the ROI, but I do chase my tail a lot more. And, as someone mentioned print media shows my customers I am marketing their property.

So far I have had much better ROI using the internet over print advertising however, I still have a 2 page ad in our local real estate book. Even though it barely pays for itself each year I find it helps give me credibility in my market when I first meet people. Also, the advertising deadline gives me a good reason to hurry people on making a decision to list their home.

We talk to a lot of brokers and agents. Almost all of them say they "feel" like they still need some kind of ad in a magazine or paper that's physical they can show to their Sellers, but ALL their business comes from online sources where Buyers go to look for what they are selling.
