Shane, can you give me some more info? What kinds of stats would you like to see - also is this just a generic overview, or do you want to have more control over this such as a snippet that you could have on a per area basis?
Let's talk about design / formatting - do you just want this to be text, or would you like an estimate on the design team putting together a nice table to house this page / snippet?

I was looking at Jim Olenbush and it looked interesting. Do you have some examples of other sites where REW has put together a nice table etc?

Yes I do, but please keep in mind, each customers element is custom, so this is for example purposes only, your table, and text etc will need to be unique to your site (which you would want anyways)
A good example (From a design perspective) is the "intown market watch" on www.realsourcebrokers.com - Mark has a nice div on his site at the top (although he updates it manually) at www.luxurysarasotarealestate.com Just to give you some ideas - in your case, if you were asking for my opinion, I would want to make it snippet based, so that you could customize it on a page to page basis. I did a quick html mockup of the kind of this kind of thing (I am currently doing this for LEC 2) you can see it here: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/lec3statsmockup.php Now what you will see there, is a combination of not only a stats snippet / div, but also a nicely formatted area for photo / unique writeup - this sort of thing would go at the top of your pages (like this one I quickly mocked up for you the other day) http://dev.greaterraleighrealty.com/Cary.php and would really help condense that top area, just above the snippet.

I really like the idea of snippet based. With the snippet, could we querry on specific town data? So on the Cary page, we could put # of homes for sale in Cary, Average price for homes in Cary, Condos for sale in Cary etc?

That would be the idea yes - you would just swap out the city name, and it would know to do the rest.

Excellent, can I have a quote? Also, would this quote full under any kind of "end of year" promo discount?

The programming side would be 3-5 hours I would assume, and then design to suit (depending on how fancy you went) something really basic could be done in a couple of hours something more robust well, as you know, the sky is the limit there.
PS your modifications are complete ![]()

Hi Shane,
Could you please provide us with a list of the stats that you would like to show for these market stats? So far I see: 1) # of homes for sale in {town} 2) Average price for homes in {town} 3) Condos for sale in {town} Will that be all you would like to display? |
