I'd say if you are interested you'd download and test out some of the RETS clients on this page: http://wiki.rets.org/wiki/Client_Applications and see if you can get one of the working. Other than that - you'll need to hire a programmer.

Again I have looked that the RETS website already. I am a programmer. I just don't know where to get started developing my own ASP or ASP.NET driven web application.

Have you tried picking up a few highly rated titles at Amazon.com? Perhaps Lynda.com will also have some video training on what you're looking for.

is there any place that I could go (or do online) that offers a class on RETS? Maybe not even about RETS but a class you could recommend that I could take that would help (SOAP, XML...??)

I've never heard of a class in RETS - but i suppose if you could find a class in parsing XML and using cURL that would help. Honestly - the first time I coded a RETs client it really helped me to use one of the pre built ones like the MRIS conduit. Then I could understand what RETS really was. Have you tried one of them yet? It also gave me some sample queries to try ... then I read the document specs. This page helped alot http://www.rets.org/cms/developer
