Clear Capital forms take way longer than Countrywide forms. I only take a few of their bpo request because the forms are so detailed and it takes way too long to complete for $50.00.

It also depends where you are located, for example southern california has too many agents doing bpos so the companies can pay less per order.

I have weeks where I'll do 20-30 and then weeks with none. I would encourage anyone just getting started to look around forums for companies that don't pay as promised. I've had issues with Evaluation Solutions, OwenREO and Ocwen. I do BPOs for about 20 companies, and these are the only ones I've found that either paid late or never paid at all. There are a lot of good companies out there. Clear Capital, eMortgage Logic, Land America, PCV Murcor, AVM are just a few.

yes ocwen does give reos, but you have to complete a good amount of bpo's and quality ones, not turning in junk

I've been doing bpos for FARVV, Protek, elogic, and USRES (for free) and average about 15 per week. My wife and I are both agents so we share the work load but I do all of the form completions and evaluations. we've been doing this for about 8 months and haved gotten any REO's yet, but I just did my 12th for USRES so maybe I'll get a listing soon. we're making an extra 3k a month and still have enough time to work the rest of our business. If you want to do both you can expect to invest a lot of time into it. I've done 10 in a single day, 6 of them were rush bpos, and we both were up till past midnight to get them finished.

I made just under one million dollars last year doing BPOs and REOs. I would say it is worth it.

I have done 96 Bpo's starting from 3 months ago. I worked with Rem, Clear Capital, LSI, Light House, and one of two others and really... I would say it's basically chump change. Is it worth it? I don't really think it is. Regardless of what people say, Bpo's take a good amount of time and they pay $50/75 depending on a company.

Factor in Gas, Time, Taxes(1099), Really, that $50 bucks is now $40.

Let's say one person somehow can fill out 5 bpo's a day, Which I could only do 4bpo's a day myself, 7 hours working on them. Burned myself out, will not do again.

Factor how much time you spend on gas driving. Now if someone is doing 5 a day, How do these people taking pictures of these properties? If you need to take pictures of 5 properties a day, when do you have time to fill out the form?

Now... Let's say you have staff... ergh...

Long story short, I believe it's survival money and banks are always taking advantage of the desperate.

Conclusion, If you are getting the listing from the bpo then it's worth it, if not... then you just wasting time trying to pay one bill here and there...

Also, on even a pathetic note, it takes an average of 3 months to receive payment from your bpo company, what a joke!

The point of doing BPOs is to get REO listings. While I know of many agents who make over 100k a year doing nothing but BPO's I look at BPOs as the means to the end.

I always do BPOs with the big picture in mind. If you do BPOs well by giving good solid values, good comments, clean photos and are never late you will be assigned REO listings.

Most agents aren't cut out for REO work and they self eliminate themselves by not doing the needed groundwork (BPOs).

Tom, I have the bank deposits to prove how much I made last year.

It is very easy to dismiss others success as a lie in order to rationalize your own lack of success.
