Thanks for sharing your tips for Facebook, and other social networking sites. I really like how you concentrate on building relationships, rather than hounding those you are connected to online for referrals.
When someone is communicating with you for a purpose (and not just to say hello), I think it shines through so I feel your approach really helps build the relationships. I'll try your approach; I don't seem to be generating many leads through social networking these days.

RESTEVE: It didn't work for me at first it took a lot of time but when I mean a lot I really concentrate on making sure I only a lot 45 minutes a day to this otherwise I would get nothing done. I'm a big advocate of not wasting to much time

GregPDX: Thanks for the kind words hopefully I am and if not i'll keep changing until I find something that works. But i know for sure it's not about talking about real estate on social networks if you want a steady referral base.

I have just recently started on Facebook and I love it. I think it is great for creating and continuing relationships. The real estate will come naturally from those relationships.

So, I am dying to know the total friend count.

Very Nice, you echo what I have told agents in the past and they always look at me like...huh? Dont talk about real estate...make sure your profile reflects that you are a realtor or whatever you do regarding real estate, and be social...pretty simple for some, while others just don't get it...keep up the great work

As far as friend count is concerned i'm up to 634 local Green Bay area people. Working growing that through my other friends.
Rmasse: I have heard you echo the same wise wisdom on the REW Forum! You hit the nail on the head my friend ![]() |

An agent in my area set up a group in Facebook and asked all of her friends to join. She updates everybody on current events in the areas that she farms and has had a pretty good response so far. Maybe you can try something like that.
