Default How To Get Commercial Listings On Site?

I'm a web developer. My potential client is in commercial real estate. His properties are on Loopnet and Craigslist. They are not in local MLS or anything. I assume there is no way to pull his listings from Loopnet (and certainly not Craigslist I would think) correct? In other words, there is no feed like I do with my non-commerical client where I just setup an IDX for them?

In this situation, what do you other developers do to showcase the client's commerical listings on their site? Do you use some listings software and make them enter it into the website?

You pretty much would have to renter the data into the new website, unless you determine that spending the time, money, and effort into designing a datamine script would be beneficial.

What listing software do you recommend using? This will be in a linux environment, and I have the option of using Joomla. I've heard great things about Open Realty. Should I use that?

Well LAMP is the most common server setup I believe? Anything else is for failures?

As far as software I have really heard of Open Realty like you mentioned and then there is also http://www.rogertheriault.com/agents...estate-plugin/ for WordPress.

Talking Re: How To Get Commercial Listings On Site?

LoopNet actually has the ability to include your properties via iFrame. I know its not the best and you don't get SEO benefits but it gets the job done. I currently use it for a client on one of my older sites.

check it out.

You can check out the product called Looplink http://www.loopnet.com/xNet/MainSite...nk/?Feature=b2

You can also have LoopLink create a page for you on their servers that looks like your website for a one time fee.

Glad to help :-)
