I have been thinking about switching over to a new Real Estate company. I am looking for a company that is well know (brand name) for example Remax, Century 21, Prudential, Weichert, Coldwell Banker, Etc. that offers great support and great commission. I am in Southern CA and have been working for this not well known company for a while, and I feel that I am not getting the proper support. I want to be able to grow my business. Any suggestions will be grateful. Thank you in advance.

I think support is great, but the true factor is you... No amount of training will be a good substitute for just sticking with a plan (any plan), and going out and getting the business yourself.

I switched from Prudential to RE/MAX about 3 years ago--both big names in my market. RE/MAX has a good local reputation, great online presence, plenty of leads, and allows me to run my business MY way. I love that flexibility. And for a flat monthly fee, I keep a lot more of the commission than I would get with other brokerages.

A lot depends on how you wish to focus your business.
From my experience High-end Sellers are more brand conscience than lower-end Sellers who are more cost (commission) conscience. Buyer's are less concerned about brand and more concerned about the amount of attention you provide them. So if your focus is on Listings, brand might be more important especially on the high-end. It might be worth taking a smaller commission split if it gets you more business.

CARREALTOR,
I hope you don't mind my frankness, but would you be so kind as to define support? Are you aware of how your community feels about all named brokerages? This answer would provide you with an accurate measure of who may be the “Superior Brand” don’t you think? A brand is an emotion or gut feeling consumers have towards a particular company, it is not simply a name nor a logo. Perhaps it may be to your advantage to write down or distinguish what your support (Is it motivation, guidance, leads, commission structure?) needs may be. After doing so, interview any brokerage which you may feel is “superior” and evaluate them accordingly. Simply suggestions of course…

In my opinion it is best to be affiliated to a large firm
