I do have a couple of real estate fan pages for my business. I have a Nashville Foreclosure Update page, A Nashville Condos & Lofts page. and a Nashville Event's Calendar page, but I haven't tried to optimize them just yet.
I really dislike the idea of sending out a note that says "Stephanie Crawford suggests you become a fan of Stephanie Crawford real estate." UGH - that just sounds terrible.

I put together a mid-month newsletter once monthly and e-mail it to a database of about 800 email addresses. For the last few months I've been posting a link to the published newsletter from my wall, but no one ever takes that time to register. And there is really no bold call to action asking them to register.

I suppose I could create a box on my profile asking people to register, but no one would ever see it. I mean, who ever goes to your profile page anyways?? I'd say 9/10th's of my Facebook activity time is concentrated on reading people's updates and links on my home newsfeed page.

I think I'll just stick to posting a newsletter link to my status once a month and updating my status to real estate related activities occasionally.... "Stephanie is at a home inspection.... Stephanie is at a closing.... etc."
