Default Converting Site to REW - Keep page URL's the same

I have just converted an established site domain ( www.atlanticstationonline.com ) to our new REW custom site last week.

The page structure has changed somewhat and each page does not have the same URL, except the home page.

The problem is that the old page urls are indexed highly in Google and I feel that I may have made a mistake in creating new ones. The old urls are still showing in Google (search Atlantic Station Real Estate to see them).

So what should I do, I prefer the new URLS, but I do not want Google to hate me?

Any other ideas or opinions that you have on my site are welcome!

Ben,

You should have REW set up 301 permandent redirects from the old urls to the new ones.

Ben,

I just noticed that you did not transfer all of your meta titles. I would do that right away.

New Site:

<title>home page</title>

Old Site:

<title>Atlantic Station real estate, Atlantic Station Georgia real estate agent,
Atlantic Station GA homes for sale </title>

Hello

You need some 301 redirects set up. Please post a work order with all of the old and new url mappings and we will get a project started for you.

301 is actually your only option here as your previous pages are ASP (On a windows server) and you are now on php, so you can't actually revert back to the previous filenames.

301's for all pages is possible, but a bit of a pain, what you really need to be concerned with is the pages that had inbound links (From other websites to your site) - this list is generally much smaller.

NM, you only have like 20 pages in Google anyways, thats a 30 minute project, just need to provide the old URL and the corresponding URL you would like it redirected to.

Please post in the work orders forum should you wish to proceed.
