As you already see my website is doing promotion of investment land near Belgrade in Serbia(Europe). So far I have noticed that usually big companies are interested in investing in land. So I am asking here, where I could find some directory or some other way to contact serious investors, and to present them with possibilities?
Of course web site is good way to start, but I am seeking for advice what else could I do to promote my services to targeted audience? Thanks in advance! And greetings from Belgrade!

Well your advice sounds logical, in some big and highly evolved and developed market, but here, not quite, I will explain: In Serbia, most of landowners are local wealthy businessmen or if you prefer call them tycoons. Usually they don't need RE agent, because they have their own RE companies, and they know the market. My goal are acquaintances with foreign investors. Basically, my web site also targets that kind o audience, but so far it is not visited in volumes I've been expecting. So I am also seeking for other methods on the web, and some other way to present my site, but in proper way, not with spamming or some other crap. Are there some RE investment trusts which haven't been affected by the crisis? I doubt, but who knows...? ![]() I was thinking more like, to spread content(articles) through blogs of other people who are willing to write about new markets. Also to create some "word of mouth" marketing in RE communities world wide, how difficult is that? Anyway, thanks once again, if you have some more advice, I would appreciate it. Cheers

No, I know that making a deal through internet is not an option. I just want to make investors interested, and then, when paperwork and remaining law stuff had undergone thorough checkup, they could come and see it by themselves, and hopefully close the deal.
When you said personal networking, do you have any particular site or group on mind? I am open to all suggestions. Cheers

If you are looking at foreign investors, the best place to start is to approach foreign embassies in your country. Find out which particular country have a keen interest in Serbia.This can be determine by the value of their foreign direct invesments (FDI). It helps to know if any of their companies that are also keen on establishing a long term investment in expanding their production facilities in your country. Check to see when the trade and investment mission of that country is coming over so that you can meet up with them by making a few arrangements.

In my point of view,the problem you mention is not at all solved in five or ten days its continuous process till you get the brand. I think the first thing you should search for big and regular investors and make the contacts with the local and small agents.Understand all kind of situation and conditions and do this area by area. Finding a development land in Serbia is easier part of the job, trust me. Information about every plot is publicly available, and if you offer enough almost everything is for sale. Selling so far has always been like this:
1.You make a contact with investor, and make him interested-This is crucial 2.You go to the municipal government where investors wants to invest, and negotiate in investors behalf 3.Municipality office where they keep Land Owner Records, they give you info on desired plot, you go to owners home and ask people, in 90% of cases nobody is such an idiot to refuse to sell the land and get let's say 500 000 Euros, and average salary in Serbia is 400Euros, so I guess choice is pretty simple. They get 500 000 I get mine 3% - happy end. Really it's that easy, couple people I know got rich just by mediating. I repeat only brake there is lack of investors, and with crisis even got worse, but also has an upside, and that is land prices went down. I hoped that I could make some contacts here, but mostly I see here housing agents. So if you have some knowledge where I could find investors who are working with Emerging markets that would be hit in the center. I am open to all deals, even including revenue share, someone finds me and investor, and gets 1,5% why not, something is better than nothing ![]() Yet again thanks everyone for constructive info.
