Thumbs up Re: Anyone heard of The Real Estate Advocate?

Just burned up 45 minutes of cell time on a conference call with this outfit after receiving a call from a recruiter alledging that he represented an agent with a buyer in my area. During the presentation the CEO repeats over and over that there are no fees to participate and that the company gets paid through the 20% refferal fees. Also promises an average of 5 closed deals/month. Sounds good to me. About 35 minutes into this thing they reveal that they need a 4k "set up charge" to get your websites up and running. Now I'd have no problem paying the cash plus the 20% for 5 bona fide agent refferals a month leading to closed deals, but it appears the "refferals" are just website sign ups you have to chase down. I don't know if this a scam or not but I'm not willing to pay 4k to find out. If anybody out there is actually making money on this deal let me know and I'll sign up. I've yet to find anyone credible who will endorse this program.

That is the crux of the issue, I have never heard of a single "credible" reference, if it's so great why don't they publish this information?

I almost went for this "TREA" too. I was going to buy two areas (8k) and asked for a reference of an agent in my area that was successful with it. The reference given was a part-time agent/full time paramedic. Within 30 seconds I knew he was not a successful agent. That was the first red flag. Then with a little more investigating, I found nothing impressive in my opinion. To me it was a lot of hype with no credibility. I backed out completely.

Please let me know if anyone finds some "real" success with this. Craig
