I read the threads, and read between the lines. No one on any of the threads indicated that submitting their site to the search engines was the cause of any delay in getting indexed. Again, you're confusing correlation with causation. If you read the thread, the individuals who had a hard time getting indexed weren't doing any link building. It's the lack of link building that will keep your site from getting indexed, not submitting your site and then being put "in a course of review."

The following quote is taken from this article http://www.selfseo.com/story-19054.php

Google Submitting directly to Google is another viable solution. The Add URL page of Google is simple and quick to complete, but again the problem is the amount of time between submitting and acceptance. Again, it can take as long as three months or possibly even longer. Google do not always inform webmasters of their decision so you could be left in the dark for sometime.
I don't know about the reputation of the writer but I see that this article was submitted on 29-Sep-2006 and it seems like a regular review of the methods available to get index by search engines.

This article supports the claim that it goes to different rout. Whether it is silly or not

Alright man...do you know what correlation vs causation means?

Let me put it to you this way: If I submit my site to Google, and then build links, Google will immediately index the site. If you'd like to place a little wager on it, I would love to.

Eric

After seeing that actually you agree that submitting a site is at least worthless and understanding that all that bothers you is the cause and result I'll say this:

My opinion is that submitting a site to Google MIGHT cause a different rout for indexing. I cannot prove it but I wouldn't recommend anyone to submit.

BTW: I'll PM you soon regarding another issue I saw on your site.
