Since MC revealed that nofollow links actually reduce the amount of PR flowing out I've been wondering what to do about my dofollow blog. I conceptualized this plugin chatting with Blackwell, and it looks like someone actually wrote it. I'm installing it shortly and will give a review.

I am testing this out as well.

Funny, we were just talking about it and out it came....a couple of things right off the bat in using it. It is an adaptation of Lucia's Link Love plugin, so you MUST deactivate that one before firing it up.

Also, there is a field for "Keep dofollow off comments less than some number of days old?"... even though most folks may want a value of "0" there, they may leave it empty. (hint: bad move)

Put a 0 in the field or it will foul up.

The rest of the plugin seems to work well.

For those who may be wondering, I have set the number of posts to 10 before the do follow kicks in on my blog. If you have less than that, this makes your links go away.

Still doing some testing on it to see how it works before deciding on it, but it appears to be in pretty good shape. News at 11 (literally ;-) )

I prefer to give the the link love to improve traffic. But I see where you are coming from. The link droppers add no value to the blog.

I'm wondering if there is a way to allow some pages to give dofollow and others close comments to all but regular readers?
