For anyone interested... Not too long ago I joined a Free Co-op Ad Network to promote one of my sites. I can without hesitation say, "This was one of the best decisions I've made this year!"

The Ad Network idea is very simple. I put a few small text ads on my webpages and in return my ads are displayed on other member's web pages. Not a bad idea considering the potential exposure for my site across thousands of pages.

Here's the kicker... if you check Yahoo on any given day you'll see that I'm getting credit for somewhere between nine-thousand (9,000) and ten-thousand (10,000) backlinks.

The majority of these backlinks come from my link being displayed on other member's pages. What a bonus, I get exposure and backlinks.

I channelled all of weight (+70k) on the network to one (1) page.
