I am trying to increase the one - way inbound links to my site's does anyone know if it is helpful to post on social bookmarking sites like: www.wordpress.org , del.ico.us, or moveabletype.org.

I heard that posting your website on these sites can help your placement on the search engines, but is that only if your website gets lots of votes and is then placed on the front page?
