Having sufffered with 6i, I guess they finally got their act together. It was too buggy, especially for the money. Let us know how your program works out.

I just started using Top Producer. Someone told me that I can import my Excel data base into TP. So far, I have been unable to figure out how to do this. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

The easiest way is to call their toll-free tech support number. I imported several excel and outlook contacts with one simple phone call.

My two cents on TP.... you get out of it what you put into it. If you don't have the patience and discipline to spend a few minutes everyday to learn the program you are wasting your money.

Otherwise its the cheapest $35/month you will ever spend.

Under the "Setup" menu, you find the option to import data. It's not a hugely complicated task, but if you have no knowledge of formatting your data as .csv or tab delimited, it would seem daunting. You definitely want to get it done though, so call tech support or get some help. TP7i is great if you'll use it to its potential.

What is top-producer? How does it work? Would it be beneficial for a loan officer to use?

I used to work for Top Producer when it was a desktop product. The new web based product that has a monthly subscription is incredible and tool not to missed if you are in the real estate industry. If you would like some input or information on training please feel free to email me for details

I've been to the Top Producer class and have looked at a lot of programs for contact management. The thing I decided was that until I was consistent with logging all of my prospects & doing followup with them using a simple Excel spreadsheet, it would be a waste of time and money to use a system 100x more detailed.

I think Top Producer blows away most other products but you have to first ask yourself if you are going to invest the time to get the system fully populated and to keep that info updated and to use it. If you have problems like I do at a pure organizational level, I would suggest fixing those first.

By the way, this is my 100th posting to REW! Woohoo!

I've been using Top Producer for almost a year now and love it. It integrates well with the TREO. Their drip marketing is simple but more than sufficient and easier to use than some of the other dedicated drip marketing sites. I really like their transaction management platform as well. I have full control of each transaction and know exactly how my business is doing. For $34 a month, it offers a lot. Oh, did I say that their tech support is fantastic as well?
