Speaking of the AR fast indexing, I tested it myself today, and it was super quick indeed. I posted something that would be easy to test, and my blog post is #1 on Google now for a local subdivision term (we have a listing there and I posted the info). Wow! I posted at about 4pm.

I had to quit blogging on AR it got too addictive. I spent too much time on the darn thing. Although I did notice the my blogs were indexed fast

I did a little experiment this morning. I posted on AR at 9:30AM CST and it was indexed 19 minutes later. Wow!

I realize that I need to do the AR post indexing thing on other days at other times to see how consistent the rapid indexing is, but it makes me wonder. Sites like AR and REW have massive amounts of information posted on them all day every day. Is it possible thet G has a bot designed specifically to crawl specific sites rather than all over the web and then report back to some huge g brain?

I believe that the bots learn which sites are updated more often & crawl those sites more often - hence the rapid indexing of AR & REW. I doubt they would specifically design a bot to crawl AR & REW only, but algorithmically, it would happen that they go back every day. It's learning! (cue evil laugh)

EB - that makes sense. Those things are pretty danged smart, arent they! BTW, I did another experiment yesterday late afternoon. My post was indexed in 30 minutes. I checked two others and one got picked up in 33 and the other in 11 minutes. Those gbots are real AR surfers.

AR has so many links into its not surprising that new posts get indexed very, very quickly.

I've been seeing fast results, too, for indexing from Active Rain. What a great way to build strong anchor text for new pages that you build on your main site!

16 mins was the fastest I have seen my indexed on AR. Not to shabby
