I think the bot bounces around AR a lot and it must be that it indexes something quickly depending on bot activity when the post hits AR. I've seen 11 minute indexing and several hours.

Mike - I have had similar experiences with posts I have created there. I made one for an agent of mine, and before he left the office it was #3 on Google for a neighborhood term.

I believe that they are do follow because I recently had someone link to a posting of mine and google has it included when I do a link search.

I believe you're right because yesterday I looked at some other realtors' backlinks and saw that they google had picked up on them. THanks

I'm not sure about specific posts, but I created an activerain account not even two days ago and I'm already at the top of the SERPs for my name and company name with it. Activerain definitely carries some weight with Google, it can be a great place to get noticed through search engines

Yes, activerain does give you link juice and quick indexing. However, REW is still the first place I post anything of quality. Simply because activerain is mostly spam, I also think you get a better link pop on the REW blogs.

I've heard that from a few agents now, and I've been surprised to hear that. Are you guys getting spammed a lot? To me (being a service provider) so far it's been super clean, I haven't seen any spam at all. But maybe the spammers are just targeting agents? What kind of spam are you getting?

I looked at activerain and it looks like they don't have the no follow tag. However, I've noticed that it is really spammy, so it may be that google discounts backlinks from this site.

I think they meant that they consider the posts and comments on ar to be spammy.
