If you have enough transactions, go ahead and focus on them. When things are slow, blog and fine tune your website.

I try to carry a camera on every sunny day. Then I can get new pictures to add to the blog and website. Just did some fixing up on a condo and I'll be writing a blog today on how to fix jalousie windows.

Even now - some... what year + later ActiveRain is indexed really fast. Within 1-2 hrs of posting I get a google alert. + Now I am getting google alerts for all of the comments I am leaving there as well.

I am not very active on ActiveRain but I have to admit it is very addictive to see your points go through the roof for doing the littlest thing on that site. So fun!

I don't think the fast indexing of AR posts means anything. I have two blogs that are not only brand new (just a couple of months old), but I hardly do anything with them. (In fact I more or less just shut them down to concentrate on my LEC2 and REW blog). There might be a total of 15 posts on each of those two blogs - at best. Anyway, in the past whenever I posted content on either one of them it was indexed within 10-15 minutes. I know because I too got a Goo alert.

How to set-up Google Alert

A fellow agent asked in Thread about setting up Google Alerts.

1. Set-up an google acct
2. Go a search for your targeted keyword
3. Place mouse over on "more" at the top. A drop down list will show. Click on "even more: at the bottom.
4. click on "alerts" in menu.
5. set-up alets so it forwards to your email for your keywords.

I taught a class on Blogging and ActiveRain was one of my examples of how fast GOOGLE indexes. Made a post about a local subdivision and it was indexed before the hour class was over. Very cool.

But what I see is that it gets crawled, goes to the top of the results and then over the next day or so, it drops down and out all together sometimes.
