If you are thinking of becoming an agent and decide to take the course first before getting your application approved.. You will just waist time.. I did and I regret it everyday.. I had taken the FREC I course the first week in August and did not get my applicaton approved until mid - February. So by the time I finally had gotten the chance to take the state exam all the inforamtion that I learned from the class was washed out of my memory. Well the first time I had taken the exam I crammed studied for 3 days and this did not help me pass.. So I waited two weeks and studied 8hours a day everyday and finally passed yesterday. So speaking from experience I WOULD get your application approved before taking the course. AND whatever you do - FILL OUT the FINGERPRINT card correctly the first time or you will go through a nightmare like I did. It usualy takes between 6-8 weeks to get an approval, so keep that in mind..

Love your site! I believe different states have different methods of testing & attaining your license. It's been a long time since I got my license but I was able to take the course & get tested very soon after. Also, we don't have our fingerprints on file in Illinois.

I should of mentioned in my post that I was pertaining to the Floridians.. My aunt is from St Louis and she neither had to do a fingerprint card and the application only took three days to get approved.. So yes Judy your right different states may vary with the process. thanks for your reply and the compliment you made about my site now I can actually use it. The site has been up since August.

Its good to be back.. Now that I can say I am a real estate agent I feel that I can relate more with everyone here. I actually thought my application was never going to get approved. I even started thinking of choosing another career choice until an angel came on the phone and told me that she could not beleived I had to wait that long and told me that she was apporving the application herself - Then three days later I was taking the exam.. I must have called atleast 50X's and NOONE wanted to help or get off their lazy butts and actually work. Sorry I still am a little upset as you can see but now it is all over.

How are you? I gues you can see how frustrated I've been. So brighten my day and tell me how great you've been doing in real estate. One of my good friends had just moved to melbourne. They decided to cash out. Their 4 bedrrom home here in PSL they bought for 85,000 4 years back and they sold it for triple that amount. So now they bought a even bigger house there in melbourne.. I know many people that are doing this so the next time I hear that someone is moving to Melbourne..I will say "I have this great friend that is a realtor and here is info...CALL HIM"

Misty Congrats on your license and it's great to see you around here again, as you can see we have had many changes. Dont forget, now that you are licenced you need traffic to that website of yours.
