I have a strong aversion to paying someone for something I feel they should be paying me for.
Also it would appear this would mean the amount of 'work' or 'possible listings' depends on the size and strength of your market area. In Ohio there would be plenty of work (according to the news), here not so much, but according to the thread ~ the monthly fees are the same. Thanks though ~ I'll check it out ~ I have a deepening feeling that we are in the good times right now as compared to later this year. It will be weeding time.

I pay $30 per month for zips. I have more than enough business to justify that. In addition to the zips you buy, you post all your reo listings in any zip for free. Register for Richard Stewart's FREE list of Michigan Foreclosures at REOmamma.com

I work for a top selling REO agent who is a member of REOTrans. He pays (per zip code) monthly. I won't say that REOTrans will bring you business. However, a lot of good clients (banks) use the REOTrans system to find agents within territories, communicate with those agents and manage assets. These clients require that you (the agent) be a member of the system in order to list any of their properties. The system has become more popular in the last year or so as bigger banks have signed on with it. Signing up with the system, in my opinion, will more than likely do you more good than harm:-) Good luck!

Nah, I spent like 5 bucks on a ton of zip codes, When orders did arrive, someone always beat me to the punch.

I've heard both good and bad.....I would check with some agents who are currently doing REO listings and see what they say

I paid for a real trans account in 2005 and until this day I receive emails to complete bpo's. Once you have completed enough of them, they will start to send you listings. I am currently going to offer someone CFK to move out. Sometimes it's headache having to have someone move out of a property they no longer own, but still feel that it belongs to them.
I have not paid them since 2005, but I still receive work in my select zip codes. I only chose zip codes close to me.

I have had quite a few bpo's from them lately.

200,000+ registered agents....
Each agent spends $5 minimum a month for a chance to get REO listings. Hmmm....now that's some nice revenue. I'm in the Wrong Business!
